Time flies by and as today the sun is not shining , I've spent some of the day organizing photos, paying  bills on the internet and also reading some friends' blogs .. The UNI3 academic year is almost over and now I have a four day visit to London to look forward to... What a  pity my daughter, Christine , now lives in Australia BUT hopefully she'll probably return to the UK in the autumn....
Luckily all my four children are fine and I'm delighted to announce that I am the proud grandmother (NONNA in Italian) of twelve beautiful grandchildren..... Four in Paris and Madrid and two in Brisbane and Napoli....
I'm looking forward to my summer break in Cala d'Aiguafreda....

February 2010

It's Saturday evening and there is nothing interesting on TV ...... Christmas 2009 was wonderful in St. Nom with Maureen, Dominique and their four fantastic children..... 2010 started off well and I am still really enjoying my UNI3 classes and my private lessons . I am fortunate that I have so many young students wanting to come for private lessons and they make me feel motivated and passionate about something I did all my life .... TEACHING!!
I am relieved that GC 's operation went well and he's now back home .... Hopefully he'll feel better soon as he has suffered so much because of his ear problem....
Next Thursday I am off to London to visit little Mackenzie whom I haven't seen since August.... How I wish that at least one of my children lived closer !!
I am delighted that la "piccola" is coming to visit me next month.... We always have fun together...

Back home in Pecetto since last Monday.... It's hard being alone again as at present I don't have many private lessons and UNI3only begins in October.... I often reflect on what I should do .... Stay here OR go to live near one of my children...It's a real dilemma !!
Luckily Bill is hoping to organize a visit to Dublin with me soon ; he's a great friend and helped me so much when I had anxiety attacks after C.S's decision in 1999....
I feel relieved or at peace after I have written my thoughts on this blog..

It's been an intensive summer and at times I have felt overwhelmed by my big family BUT then I reflect on my situation and realize how lucky I am .... All my four children love to come here to spend time with me in Cala d'Aiguafreda....
Now I am enjoying Aileen and Massimo's company and Francesca who is Maureen's eldest child is often here with us .... This morning in Palafrugell, she told me " Nonna , j'adore faire du shopping avec toi!!" What a sweetheart! These last few days we have been eating delicious fish as Massimo is an expert fisherman as well as a DIY expert...
Soon the FAMILY summer will almost be over but I am fortunate to be able to stay here till September 7/8th and then drive home with my good friend , Paola.

This weekend was interesting and enriching . It made me think back of my long gut talks with Linda Mishkin while watching the amazing sunset on Cartagena beach many years ago.... Georgina , a good friend of Aileen, came to keep me company ; she too has had her ups and downs but always seems to manage to bounce back. We spent hours chatting about life : family , good and bad moments , our virtues and vices .... The list could go on but I just wanted to share how important it is to communicate ....
This morning I am alone again but Rocio , my daughter in law and baby Valeria , should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday.... The weekenders have gone home to Barcelona so our little Cala is empty.... How lucky to be able to share this amazing little spot with my family each summer...

May 18th has been a special day for many years .... My dear friend , Regina's birthday. Reggie was a true friend in Brazil and helped me overcome many hurdles.... As I drove down to Torino yesterday afternoon , I reflected on my luck .... Suddenly my cell phone rang , it was Kevin , my only son . His tone of voice immediately made me think of news, good news... Baby Valeria was born safe and sound ! Even though she's my 8th grandchild , I wanted to share my news with everyone .... Fortunately last night my UNI3 class organized a dinner at Mariuccia's house for me so I was able to share my joy with close friends ...
Just before falling asleep my thoughts turned to Dr. Danda, a friend's daughter.... God bless , Alessandra . Valeria's birth today for me was a POSITIVE sign .... Overcome one hurdle at a time . Un'abbraccio, Anne
